FROM VIAREGGIO TO LUCCA APPROX 45 KM / EASY / E-MTB / 1 DAY
This tour will guide you by cycling towards the hinterland of Tuscany to admire its typical landscape of Mediterranean scrub, poplars and crops.
The itinerary crosses Torre del Lago, where the composer Giacomo Puccini established his residence.
The journey continues for several kilometers between the greenery and out of traffic until you reach Lucca, where you cycle along the imposing walls 12 mt. high. In Lucca are worth a visit: Piazza Anfiteatro (built on the remains of a Roman amphitheater), the Church of San Michele and the Guinigi Tower of XIV century.
Return trip by train to Viareggio.
