FROM MONTECATINI/VIAREGGIO TO PISA ABOUT 30 KM / EASY / E-MTB / 1 DAY
Leaving by train with your bikes from Montecatini you will reach Viareggio, a well-known seaside resort in Versilia where the tour begins. You will take the cycle path along the promenade and then enter the shade of the vast pine forest and continuing along the Migliarino and San Rossore Natural Park until you reach Pisa, one of the cities that you should absolutely visit during a holiday in Tuscany! It’s famous for its buildings and monuments that identify it in the world, first of all the Leaning Tower and the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Baptistery and the Camposanto.
If you have time enough, before reaching the railway station for the return trip, you should explore the center of Pisa by visiting Piazza dei Cavalieri, where the renowned Scuola Superiore Normale is located, or stroll into Borgo Stretto, one of the busiest streets of the city where, a few steps away, in Piazza delle Vettovaglie, you can enjoy a quick lunch in one of the many typical taverns.
Return by train to Montecatini and return back the bikes.
